Welcome to Robin's Word...
This blog used to be mainly about politics, but I've decided to refocus the blog and talk about things that are really important to us in our everyday lives as spritual beings living a human experience. We are more than just this body, although most of us are very attached to them - we are more, and you feel that inside. You can get all kinds of political opinions all over the tv, radio and net. What we all need is something to relate to that makes our lives better and hands-on ideas to be successful in live, love and happiness.

We all have seen them, people who seem like they are connected, above the fray, lucky. But no matter what things seem like on the outside, remember, never judge an indian until you walk a mile in his moccasins.

You never know when inspiration is going to come calling. In your own journey it is important to catch those pieces of "intuition", "inspiration", or what is there in the ethers trying to get your attention. It is a good idea to keep either a pen and notebook by your bed, or even a voice activated recorder so you don't lose these ideas, which are sometimes profound...most of the time, fleetiing like a dream and hard to recall. We lose our "aha" moment to the daily grind of living life. When you least expect it, for instance when you are driving, "inspiration" or some profound thought might "hit" you. Many times the "conscious" part of your mind is busy with the physical things that are going on and the creative part of your subconscious can come out to play and inspire you. People who know how to meditate accomplish this, but people get inspiration, intuition, ideas at different times because we are all different people.
My ideas on "Redefining Recovery" are something I feel are important to share. We are all the sum of our experiences and our beliefs about those experiences...who we are has been formed by our reaction to what has happened, not just the event itself. The "buzz" word right now is "intention". Nice to say but what does it mean, how do you feel this deep down? People are becoming more inquizitive about their "purpose" for being here. And most people are completely lost because "life happens" and sidetracks us. Intention can also be defined in part as "your motivation"...the motivation behind what you are doing and what part of you is driving you...is it the Ego...that reactive/smaller humanistic/consious/fear based part of yourself - or is is your True Identity, that part of yourself looking for transformation to make life meaningful-to be able to actually say -I love my life because it has meaning, purpose and substance. That part of you that you can count on that says "no matter what the appearances are at this time, I KNOW all is perfect and is going to be ultimately for my own best interests and growth". Again, not just moving through life on automatic pilot, "getting through" the days. Life and spirit - your own spirit - the realy YOU -will keep trying to remind you of what you are really here to do. What you perceive as roadblocks, tragedies, stumbling blocks, rocky roads, are events and situations whicha are in your path to swerve you over to what your life is supposed to be about. But if we get wrapped up in the Ego, and keep looking with tunnel vision as the "why me - why the hell does this have to happen to me NOW - why can't things ever go right"...we keep looking down the tunnel focused on "not enough-ness" and lack of the something we think we need...while all the time, the thing you are supposed to paying attention to is being ignored. Being a person who is living only from the "surface" of oneself, not from the depth that comes from truly being connected and engaged in life, you will inevitably keep running into things that are trying to steer you to the right way to "be". The reason you are here - look, listen, be still and open your eyes. Wake up to who you really are, quit hitting your head against the wall, look up and see what opportunity is staring you in the face. Your mission, should you CHOOSE to accept it, is waiting for you.
I have started my book, "Growing Pains" and hope to finish it in the next 60 days. The ideas that are going to be conveyed in the book are going to be here on this site also. It is the basic premis that this entire project of the Informational site, the dating site and the blog revolves around. Finding the real you, getting the circle around you...the people who can help facilitate this mission, and how you can be happy and change not only your ideas about what is happening to you in your life, but look to these events as something that is welcome...somewhere you are being led, so that you can be happy...get on the right path and live as a happy, self actualized, functioning human BEING...not just a human out there "doing".
Know anyone single and in any and all kinds of Recovery? - A subject we will explore more fully to get the redefinition of what we call recovery. - Send them to the new dating site to meet others and maybe that ultimate support of a mate that is right in there with you, growing and happy...www.RecoveryMatchfor2.com
The best marriages I have seen, the lasting ones where people actually appear to behappy are those that are supporting one another in their growth process of being here on earth. In fact, the people that I personally know have succesful marriages and have truely got the support of their spouse or partner. You can see some of the definition which is somewhat different than you might be used to if you only think Recovery has to do with chemical addictions. Nothing is further from the truth! Stay tuned - come back oftern. The classes are starting soon also. www.RecoveryMeansLife.com
