...and that's the way it REALLY is   (Jack Boland)
About (Biography)

How does one condense a lifetime into a couple of paragraphs that won't bore people, especially when one is a wordy writer?
At this time, I am just going to have it summed up with some experiences that stand out and I'll add later. You can at least get the condensed version...I'll take mercy on you and just give you a little bit that someone else wrote:

Robin Elizabeth Vess, now known as Robin E Vess-O'Neil is a native of Toledo, Ohio and has lived the area all her life, but not in Toledo proper since she was a child. As a p.s. she says she is not attached to staying there and plans a move.

Robin owns a horse ranch and breeds and shows Purebred and Half Arabian horses for show and pleasure. You can visit her ranch site at www.FNFArabians.com.  Robin founded two organizations in the Arabian Horse Industry and was the founder of three horse shows in the Nothwest Ohio area. She shows her horses on the National Level and owns horses with National Titles. She is certified from Ohio State University in Artificial Insemination and Equine Breeding Management.  After working as a bookkeeper for years, Robin joined her Mother, Jean in a nutritional and ecologically safe products sales business, and became a member of the "Million Dollar Club", as well as enjoyed company sponsored free trips to places like Hawaii, Vienna Austria, Paris, London, Puerto Rico, and many great domestic locations. The team also earned 8 free cars as high achievers in their company. Robin has been a speaker for her former company at large conventions and small seminars.  She has written and taught seminar in business success for many years.  Robin is well traveled personally as also, her favorite place is St. Barths in the French West Indies and has sailed the Caribbean visiting many Caribbean Islands.  In her late 20's Robin and a companion made a trans-Pacific sail from SanFransisco to Hawaii, an 18 day trip on a 40 ft sail boat on the open ocean. In the U.S. Robin sailed extensively on Lake Michigan. Robin also is a published writer, and wrote for an equine magazine with articles picked up and published world-wide. She has started writing a book and is an avid reader.

Throughout life, Robin has had an inner drive even as a young girl to reach toward spirituality.  Raised in traditional Christian religion, her Mother left that type of church searching for something more fulfilling spiritually, and found it at Unity, where she took a 12 year old Robin to attend her first class in "The Positive Power of the Subconscious Mind" based on the book Psycho Cybernetics by Maxwell Maltze. After becoming very involved in Unity and attending many courses in Meditaion, Biofeedback, Edgar Cayce's Teachings, Unity Principles, A Course In Miracles and  many other Spiritual Courses, Robin and her mother Jean found Church of Today in Warren Michigan.  The church was small at that time and was led by an incredible man who would end up resonating with Robin and form the basis for her beliefs today.  Jack Boland built and founded what would become the largest "Recovery Church" in the nation and his transformational philosophy has reached thousands, likely millions of people. Jack, a recovering alcoholic based every kind of teaching for every kind of person on Spiritual Recovery Principles.  Robin was lucky to attend many courses and meet such greats as Wayne Dyer, Deepak Chopra, Og Mandino and other wonderful people.  Success in life in all areas is emphasized in Robin's personal philosophy, and the fact that we are all here for a reason.  Robin has also attended several programs at Hazeldon of Minnesota and a life changing program at Pavillon in Montreal, now Pavillon International in North Carolina.  The concept for the system and model recovery at Pavillon was based on principles taught by Jack Boland.  Robin also has credits toward being a certified addictions counselor, is completing her Hypnotherapy Certification and is a Non-denominational Ordained Minister.

Life "happened" as it does, and these principles learned  begininning at a young age and forming a belief system she came to rely upon, were called up by Robin in her own Recovery process...a process that even without a chemical addiction or allergy, any kind of obsession or compulsion, or unsuccessful attempts at what you want in life, can benefit anyone, because we all suffer from "the human condition". We all have an Ego or smaller self to battle with in life, and our mission is to move into our True Identity as a fully functioning, happy and successful - authentic individual.  Robin credits the strong support system of her Mother and her Aunt Faye for her continuing Recovery.

We all have set backs and Robin has endured her own, her Recovery process from addiction began about 19 years ago and she has decided that this is where she truly wants to live her life...in a transformational way that has real meaning, and pass it on to others.

After losing the three most important people in her life, and many years of hospital experiences in the form of caring for her loved ones, Robin began the process of recovering from her grief, -the single most challenging time of her life.  "There is always something that can happen that makes what you think is important today, that  thing you are stewing over, seem like almost nothing" says Robin. This 4 years of experience made another important change in Robin's life and she rearranged her priorities, decided to no longer work in sales and leave that career behind.  Feeling drawn to helping others with addictions, belief system problems, or compulsions (and isn't that all of us?) Robin acted upon an idea she had 6 years ago for a recovery web site incorporated with the transformational principles she learned in her life and Recovery Dating site.  Robin observed that the people she had seen in her life with the best marriages, were both in Recovery, supporting one another in that lifestyle.  These people were serious in their type of lifestyle and fully supportive and authentic with one another.  Being single, and deciding to rearrange priorities in her life, she acted on her idea regarding a new career choice launched RecoveryMatchfor2.com - the only on line dating site for people who are in all kinds of Recovery - Recovery defined as she describes it, because the site and it's sister site RecoveryMeansLife.com as for all people who want a personal transformation in life, whether it is leaving behind a chemical addiction or any other compulsion, destructive behavior or disfunctional belief system.
